Chris Evans
Chris Evans is the founder and CEO of Foreshore, a business internet service provider. The company, formed in 2000, is the first and largest Jersey datacentre designed to meet the needs of offshore ecommerce and financial services.
Chris has been involved in the creation and running of a number of successful information technology businesses over the last twenty five years.
He was awarded the prestigious ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ award in 2001 in the annual Jersey Enterprise Awards, in which Foreshore was also awarded ‘Medium Business of the Year’ in 2009.
As well as serving on the boards of a number of companies, he has spoken at international events dealing with the issues of how smaller nations can respond to the threats and opportunities presented by the digital economy. He has been a member of two Jersey government advisory committees, both tasked with examining the economic benefits of creating a legal and technological framework for encouraging the growth of ebusiness as a distinct economic activity.
