		<description>To some extent it&#039;s probably true to say that small businesses outside IT fields are far more wary of &quot;the cloud&quot; as a whole and &quot;cloud based applications&quot; - for what they probably cite as business continuity reasons.

If they phrase it that way or not - those are normally the back-of-mind thoughts. Disaster recovery is an interesting subject to broach with SMEs - any question along the lines of &quot;What would the impact of X be on your ability to continue trading?&quot; can meet a variety of answers, some of which are not ideal.

Concerns over privacy, data security (in light of the public &quot;failings&quot; we are fed by the media, from large corporations) and continuity are bound to be strong factors contributing to this wariness.

Does this mean that we won&#039;t see cloud adoption among SMEs? No, of course not - it&#039;s a market driven culture change which will take time to fully demonstrate it&#039;s potential. 

And I couldn&#039;t agree more about how providers will differentiate themselves from the competition and carve out success in the cloud.</description>
